How to make an apple cake?

1. Whisk all the ingredients together in a small saucepan.

2. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring continuously.

3. Cook for 7-8 minutes.

For the Apple:

1. To create an apple-shaped cake, first bake half circle cake pieces in a semi-circle cake pan for about 12 minutes.

2. Trim the tops and pipe buttercream between two halves to assemble a sphere.

3. Cover the outside in buttercream and freeze.

4. Meanwhile, roll out fondant and add red food coloring to create the skin and green food coloring to create the stem. Cover the cake in red fondant and shape a leaf with the green fondant. Add a stem from a real apple and a fondant leaf.

5. Finally, dip the apple halfway in caramel and place it on top of the cake to complete the apple cake.

For the Assembly:

1. Place the cake on a cake stand and pipe buttercream and caramel ganache between each layer.

2. Finish off by dripping caramel ganache over the top.

3. Finally, add the apple to the center of the cake.
