7. Place the prepared gingerbread dough in a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and refrigerate it for 10-14 days to allow it to mature.

Baking gingerbread cookies

1. Preheat the oven to 170°C.

2. Take the matured gingerbread cookie dough out of the refrigerator. Divide it into two portions. Place one portion back in the refrigerator and roll out the other part on a floured surface to a thickness of 0.5 cm.

3. Cut out the desired shapes from the dough and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Put the gingerbread cookies in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 10 minutes.

4. Repeat this procedure with the remaining gingerbread cookie dough.

5. Once the gingerbread cookies are baked, allow them to cool in the pan.
