Make the dough:

1. In a small bowl, heat the milk over low heat and dissolve 1 teaspoon of sugar. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the bowl from the stove and add the dry yeast. Leave for 5 minutes until the yeast swells and foams.

2. In a large bowl, beat the egg and mix in the remaining sugar and salt. Pour the melted butter with the foamed yeast and mix until the ingredients are combined.

3. Gradually add the flour, initially mixing with a whisk, and when it becomes difficult to mix, switch to kneading. If the dough seems too sticky, you can add a tablespoon or two of extra flour. The dough should be slightly sticky. The less flour you use, the softer the buns will be.

4. After kneading the dough, place it in a large greased bowl and leave it in a warm place for about 1 hour to let the yeast dough rise.

5. When the dough for yeast buns has risen, knead it and let it rise again for 20 minutes.

Make the filling:

1. Melt the butter over low heat. Remove from the stove and let it cool slightly.

2. In another bowl, mix cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.

3. Pour the cooled butter into the cream cheese mixture and mix well until all the ingredients are combined.

4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle. Using a spatula, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the surface of the dough.

5. In a small bowl, combine the raspberries with the cornstarch, mixing until the starch is evenly distributed over the berries. Spread the raspberry mixture over the dough. Roll the dough tightly so that the raspberries remain inside the dough.

6. Cut the rolled dough into slices that are 2 inches thick.

7. Line the tray with parchment paper and place the cut yeast buns with jam with enough space between them.

8. Preheat the oven to 360°F (180°C).

9. Bake the yeast buns with jam for 20-25 minutes. Once baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool for about 10 minutes before frosting.

1. Melt the butter over low heat and set it aside until it’s melted.

2. In another bowl, mix the cream cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream.

3. Pour the cooled butter into the cream cheese mixture and mix well until all the ingredients are combined.

4. After the yeast buns are baked and cooled slightly, spread the frosting evenly over them.

Room temperature ingredients: One hour before baking, prepare all the ingredients for the yeast buns so that they reach room temperature.

Do not add extra flour. The yeast buns will be softer with less flour.
